This here is my first test. You can see the lines in it as I exposed each section longer to see how many seconds would be optimal. I told Tyler it was a test picture and he said, "What happened to it?"
"It's supposed to look like that," I said. It should get slightly darker going from the left to right.
I didn't have time to do the finished product, but I thought you might enjoy a taste. I am loving this class.
It looks so cute! I am so jealous that you get to take the class for free. You will have to tell me the instructors name and if I could ever take a class I would love to take a photography class. Good Job!
ReplyDeleteYou are making me long for the days, oh, so long ago, when I was having lots of fun in Photography class. Unfortunately, by the second semester, I was having a bit of trouble showing up for class because of a certain boy, who shall remain nameless. :) And I'm still waiting to have that darkroom of my own.
ReplyDeleteLove the picture! It must be nice to have such adorable subjects so close by!
Soooo cute!!! You are starting out fabulous and you will end up being brilliant!
ReplyDeleteLooks like you are learning the basics well! Way to go! gorgeous pic by the way. :)
ReplyDeleteI have wanted to take a photography class for so long! It's definitely on my list of things to do. I think it looks great. I can't wait to see more of your work. How many seconds did you decide were optimal?
ReplyDeleteI started with 6 and added a second for each line. I think I am going to go with 9. My instructor said that with portraits you should look for the one which makes the skin look most realistic (considering it is black and white).
