Ha ha. I did all my activities for last week. Unless you count movie day when the power went out at the movie theater. Don't ask me why because it certainly wasn't weather related. So, we came home and watched a movie and made popcorn. That was easy.
One week down, ten to go. Whew. I can do it. It is like a summer marathon. And since I am not so good at the real exercising, let's see if I can excel at something else.
Friday was craft day and I know you are all dying to see what we did. (Unless you read the title of this post, and then you may have some idea.) Behold, I give you Popsicle Stick Bookmarks.
Everyone made two. Pearl even took her hand at painting. I really don't have any detailed instructions to give you in case you wanted to try them at home. You simply buy big fat popsicle sticks, paint them, and then put some Modge Podge on them at the end to seal them. Easy right?
Tricia came with her littles and made some too. She had her two year old paint one for Dad for Father's Day. Wish I had thought of that. But since I got one of these for Tyler, I think he is set for Father's Day.
Tomorrow begins week two. I somehow managed to lose my entire summer schedule, which was hand written. (Who doesn't use the computer for everything important now? ME!! That's who!!) I repented and June and I redid the whole schedule on the computer. It isn't in the exact same order, but I don't think the kids will notice. And I was planning on doing everything anyway.
Except that I REMEMBERED that the craft slated for this next Friday was originally planned for the LAST week of summer and I was totally fine with that because it is rather involved. Looks I get to tackle it early now. Wish me luck. I might be biting off more than I can chew on that one. But you never know until you try.
Cute! I feel like I'm going to steal this idea, I only ever use post it notes for my bookmarks, haha
