Creativity All Around

I've stockpiled some pictures that need to get out here on the blog. I really enjoy all the art and projects that get done around here. BUT, I don't want to keep them all forever, so I like to document on here.

Let's start with June. She is in art this quarter. (Although I think she often chooses art for flex-time as well.) She has brought home a lot of fun pieces.

CAT'S EYES:

REVERSIBLE BAT:

SELF PORTRAIT:

ROCK STAR:

She also did a book report diorama. Too bad her book was more focused on characters than setting. She made all 16 characters for The Westing Game. That book is so good. Seriously, if you haven't read it...go read it. She worked hard on each person.

And I especially like Chris Theodorakis. We had to cut his legs off, so he could sit in the wheelchair.

Robyn made her own island the other day. See if you can recognize some land forms?

Now, see how well you did?

I got most of them, but I missed the deep water in the lake. (Okay, and the teeny-tiny forest too.)

Lastly, the school had a day where kids could dress up in the vocation they would like to do when they grow up. (Thank you school for planning this right before Halloween. It is not like we needed to find or make another costume.)

Robyn went as an artist.

And Ivory...

She was a geologist. Bonus points if you got that. Several kids asked her is she was a 'nerd.' I guess she'll grow up to be just like her Dad then. Although he prefers the term, 'geek.'

  2. Dad missed the geyser and the small forest. I'm afraid I didn't have a chance to try to guess because I kept reading and found the answers before I had time to realize I was supposed to figure them out! Great pictures by June, and I loved the 'career' costumes. They both look the part.

  3. Tell June I love her book diorama! You should totally send a picture to the author. I guessed every single character! Great job.
