Must wrap up these pumpkin posts before the snow falls....and sticks.
The Houck's hosted a fantastic shindig, and we were invited by default since they were using our kitchen. They invited many of the newly married couples in the ward. (We were definitely the odd balls. It is strange when you have been married more years than someone has been married months.)
Kami and Doug were dressed so cute as Dorothy, the Scarecrow, and Toto. (Cute Buckwheat)
Several couples came over. Ben and Amanda were Russian mobsters and I love their Ninja Turtle pumpkin.
He was cool glowing as well.
Brody and Ariel were our power tool users. She used the drill to make holes, and Brody tested out the turkey carver. It worked pretty well on the pumpkin.
Here are their finished products.
And all lit up. (Does that first one look like the 'Eye of Sauron?'
Houck's made their own creations. Kami did some serious detail on hers. (And this is only the second pumpkin she has ever carved.)
Looking good.
Her minion was amazing all it up.
Aktar and Kendra came a little later, but they did a great job.
It was a really fun evening. What a great group. And if you don't look closely, it looks like Tyler and I fit right in. (Luckily, you can't see the grey hairs in this photo.)
Oh, this isn't really related, but it will hopefully finish off all Halloween related posts. I made the girls a fun snack on Halloween week. (It was the only day I got creative.) They are ghost strawberries. They were gobbled right up by my goblins.
That looks like so much fun! Good looking pumpkins, and those strawberries are awesome.
