All the Halloween Antics

We are slowly running out of trick-or-treaters at our house. The girls are getting older and this year Ivory opted to stay home. I think Daisy might hold out as long as possible, since she loves candy a lot, but we'll see.

Halloween was stretched over two days since it fell on Saturday. That means everyone dresses up on Friday for school as well. It is early in the morning, but we try to grab some pictures before people bolt out the door.

Sadly, Mario and Luigi go to different schools this year. It doesn't seem right to break up brothers like that...

Daisy and I go to the same school. In fact, she is the only one I drive in the mornings. We drop off Pearl and then it is just me and her. The car feels rather empty.

At Robyn's school, she got extra credit in Spanish for taking a selfie in front of the Dias de los Muertos backdrop. It looks like it is photoshopped, but she's really there.

The girls went to a scary movie night in the evening after we carved pumpkins (separate post). What sillies.

Then on actual Halloween, the majority of us stayed home and played games. We had rousing games of Mau and Curses. Irving came over and hung out with us. (I wish I had a picture of him.) Robyn wins for having the spookiest hand of the evening.

Dad was so great to take the littles Trick-or-Treating. They went around our neighborhood for the first time, but they also went to some favorite hangouts, like the guy who electrocutes their candy.

It was a pretty quiet Halloween but that was perfect for this year. There was still a boatload of candy collected. Check out Pearl's treat drawer. If you can look beyond the obscene amount of candy, it is really rather beautiful the way she organized it.
