B&W - Entropy

The definition of entropy here is: Gradually declining into disorder.

Realistically I should take a picture of my blog, but I have high hopes to get my time back in line and start cranking out posts. (A girl can dream, right?)

There are so many things I could have taken pictures of around here that are slowly deteriorating. There are some great crumbling buildings, and some awesome old cars.

But every time I thought of this topic, my mind kept drifting back to our Garden Center that has gone out of business.

Old Farmer Grant ran that place his whole life. He is as old as dirt now, and has been forever as far as I can tell. He lived across the busy street from his garden center and I would often see him dodging traffic as he went back and forth from home to business.

He is stooped over with age, but that doesn't stop him from running miles and miles each morning. But apparently, it was time to move on.

The Vineyard Garden Center has always been a favorite of mine. We bought pumpkins there EVERY. YEAR. I don't even know where else to get a pumpkin. My kids have gone to Pumpkinland since they were babies.

It really is the end of an era.

The land is still there along with the greenhouses. I'm not sure what it will become. But for now the sign out front makes me smile and sigh at the same time.

Next week is OUTDOOR - BRENIZER METHOD. I'm not even going to try and describe what that means. I'm not sure if I have it figured out just yet. Good luck to me.

  1. I remember going to that place. I know you have lots of memories of good times there. Hopefully you can find another spot to fill in, but hang on to those pictures you took of the kids running around and sitting on pumpkins!
