Sea Quest

(March 13th, 2023)

I had only heard about Sea Quest from other people before we ventured out to find out for ourselves. I can tell you a few things. Don't buy the extra packages, unless you are really dying to spend more time with certain animals. I imagine swimming with the sting rays would be pretty fun. But the tokens will keep you entertained if you get a couple per child.

I didn't know this before, so I asked Pearl which she would like to do and she opted for the bird one. It was actually pretty cool, but not necessary. But let's show you what we got to do.

They took us to the bird area right away even though our time was for a little later. It wasn't terribly busy so we were able to do everything we wanted to. We were first introduced to Tango, a toucan. She was so pretty. The trainer let each of us feed her and then she tempted her over to sit on our arm for almost half a second. She was a little stubborn and we had to come back to finish up the group, because she decided half way through that she wasn't having it. I guess she doesn't like apples as much as blueberries, so she was a bit put out. (I would think that these birds would get pretty tired of doing the same things over and over again.)

We also got to hold a cockatiel named Coca and a small parrot named Rosco. Rosco was awesome and had an assortment of sounds he could do, including a wolf whistle, a chicken, a siren, and bubbles. He was very friendly.

Lastly, we got to feed the ducks as well. They gave us little fish to feed them. They were all named Kevin, so I'm guessing they don't really come when they are called. Ironically, they were all girls as well. There were also lots of turtles. At least eight, Daisy counted.

Then we had time to explore. Each kids had at least two tokens, so we went around seeing what we could use them on. I knew I wanted to feed the parakeets. In fact, I thought it was part of the bird area, but it is separate. You can feed them for one token. You go into this bird room and you sit down and they give you a teaspoon of birdseed in your hand. And the birds come and eat out of your hands. It was so fun.

So fun in fact that we used a second token to go again. Pearl took pictures for us and we took pictures for her. Oh, you may have noticed Brooklyn. There was some miscommunication and Tyler wasn't able to go, so we gave his ticket to Brooklyn. I'm glad she could come.

Beau, meanwhile, used her tokens to hold reptiles. That albino snake is pretty awesome.

They had fish kiss fishies there. I think you could pay to get your feet done, but there was an area where you could dip your hands in for free. That was so fun and we each did that a couple times. Daisy looks like she got caught stealing a fish.

We took tons of pictures and saw lots of interesting things, but I'll just show you a few.

The last tokens were used to feed the sting rays. They don't give you much food, but we split it up and the rays are very friendly to begin with. They come right up to see if you have any munchies.

It was super fun. On our way out, the baby sloth was awake. That one is quite pricey to interact with, but we luckily got to see her wide awake.

It was a super fun day. Surely more expensive than I planned, but it's okay to splurge once in a while for a birthday.
