Lagoon-a-family

(July 22nd, 2023)

When your missionary comes home, it is imperative that you get the family together for a reunion of sorts. Granted, we had just done that with KJs wedding, but June sort of missed that. So we got together AGAIN the next weekend at Lagoon.

It was such a party. Almost everyone was there. We stopped for breakfast in the morning. Crazy to see two wives at the table. And Shaynie was there too. She and Kolby seem to be enjoying a relaxing courtship. She is pretty awesome.

We took our traditional picture at the entrance. Everyone is a bit bigger than they used to be.

It was great to have Granny V there. I know she was really missing June and we just don't get to see her often enough.

We always find our home base and then split off from there. I'm sad that I didn't see much of the Js, but they have younger kids and we spent a lot of time on crazy rides.

The first stop was actually the Ferris wheel since Daisy said she had never been. I guess she can check that one off.

Then Cannibal. No pictures because no phones, but I'll tell you that Granny V is getting too old for that ride. Me too, for that matter, but I still love it. Then we headed over for the kids to go on the Samurai. That one is not for me. (I was trying to be kind to my back.) We parents were designated picture takers and glasses holders.

The skyride is a must and is the best way to travel across the park. You may have noticed that we kidnapped Ellen and dragged her around for a while. She is the best and fits right in with the fam. We love Audrey too, but being a week married, she was inseparable from KJ.

Beau and I headed over to Lagoon-a-beach earlier than everyone else. We had a lot of fun playing on the tube slide ride. I think that is my favorite ride. The racing is the best. There was a young guy at the bottom who would always let me go first. Even later when June, Ivory, and Pearl joined us, he would still give me the advantage. As he pushed me down, he said to June, "I always send her first." :) Perks for age, right?

Beau had to work in the evening, so we left early. But it looks like everyone had a great time. The view at night is lovely.

Meanwhile, Beau and I walked all the way to the Trax station in the blistering heat. Phew. But we made it back with time to spare.

It was such a fun time with family. There were a lot of rides not mentioned, but we had all the fun. We sure love our Cazier clan. It was great to have some time together.

  1. Makes me feel rather sad that I can't join in for these fun times, but I'm so glad you have them. I still remember the great times we had at Disneyland, Universal Studios and even Knotsberrys Farm.
