This Mother's Day was a very fun one. As you know, I don't want much except a clean house and some love from my children every once and a while. Which is exactly what this Mother's Day was. They cleaned and cooked for me and made me feel special all day long!
The day started out with a nice homemade breakfast made by Daisy. Some French toast with raspberry sauce on top was a great start to my day.
Of course we ended up playing games! Because what else would I want to do on Mother's Day? We just got this new game called Pictures, which I really love. There are different mediums in the game by which you to try and create various pictures while others try to guess what you made. We have discovered that most of us think very different from one another so it is fun to see what we all think. And we even got Chris to join us.
This year Daisy had a cute new idea to paint the window and have each of the girls write a sweet little message for me. I loved seeing what they wrote. It was all so sweet and has stayed on the window as a reminder each day of how much they love me.
Afterwards, I opened my presents. I was happy to see that they thought to buy me a new mixer, (Because one of the girls broke it a few days before...on accident) and a new knob for our bosch. (Also broken by the girls.) Very kitchen themed this year. Beau actually lost the bosch knob but I'm sure it will turn up eventually. Right?
And like every year I still managed to get a picture of each of the girls. Here is the bunch for this year. (June brought me flowers. And although they will die quickly in my hands, it was sweet that she thought to get them for me.)
All in all, another wonderful Mother's Day. And I owe it to my husband and kids, because I don't know where I would be without them. I may get frustrated by them sometimes, but in the end I love them more than anything. This was just a reminder of how lucky I am and how amazing my life is. Until next Mother's Day!
