The Happiest Fete Day on Earth

(August 16th, 2021)

It is true that Fete Day often gets forgotten until just a couple weeks before it is supposed to happen. Last year was no exception, but we still managed to have a lot of fun and we had such a fun theme: DISNEY!

We got half the Meibos' to come and we invited the Taylor's and got half of them as well. But both Brinnley and her husband Alec came. (We take what we can get.)

I'm pretty sure we played Four on a Couch and some other party games. We weren't as good about taking pictures last year. (I'll be better this year.) Oh yeah, I'm sure we started with that game where you put a person on a index card and tape it on the back of someone and they have to guess who they are; naturally all Disney characters for this game.

I was mostly impressed with how many gifts the kids made this time around. The limit is supposed to be around 5 dollars. You can make or buy gifts, but most people buy them because it's easier. Not my kids (this time). June made these really cute mickey mouse magnets; very creative.

Daisy made Mickey ears for Erica. They turned out so cute.

And Robyn surprised us all by painting a bottle for Dad. It was epic. (We still haven't opened it and probably never will.)

It was a fun day, as all Fete Days are. And the Disney-themed gifts were fun.

This year we have some fun things in the works. Still not planned before a week or so out, but why change tradition?
