Art Theme: Post Mortem

We've had a few dark themes in the past few weeks. We've done Dante's Inferno, scary, and now we have Post Mortem. But themes are only as dark as you make them, right? We had such a great mix this week of death and life. I really liked it.

We are still missing some families that are out on vacation or busy in general. Summer tends to be a very busy time, even with Covid swimming around. But we still love whatever art comes our way.

Here are our submissions for this week.

Life Follows Death by Maleen

Rising From the Ashes by Ivory

Zombie Pillow by Daisy and Pearl

Rest in Peace by Pearl

Where Angels Rest by Maleen

Daisy went edible. Everything for this art piece you can eat...except the tray.

DIP so you can RIP by Daisy

She Came Down From Heaven by Daisy

Robyn used a lot of different phoenix references to put this together. However, in the end, she didn't love the colors, so she'll redo and finish this at another time.

My Mom is so gifted with words. This poem came to her in a flash. I think it is really cool.

The Kinsey's had some great submissions.

I'm so impressed with this jar. Tricia used clay for the top and then painted it. Awesome.

Very cool. We'll see what everyone comes up for the theme next week...Motion.
