Here's a quick little post about Daisy. She did a fun honor choir event where kids from all over the district learn songs on their own and then come together to sing them in a mini concert. They sing them together for the first time just an hour or so before the concert. But all these kids are good singers, so it works out wonderfully.
Only Pearl and I were able to attend that night and traffic was so bad. We left with time to spare and GPS said we would get there 10 minutes late. Perfect. And these concerts start precisely on time. (Why must some people be so annoyingly prompt?)
We did get there late, but luckily, there was a high school choir that sang first, so we didn't miss anything. Woot. In fact, we got to watch all the kids come onto the stage. There were WAY too many kids for the bleachers. They spilled out on both sides. I saw Daisy when she came on, but she quickly got swallowed up.
I was a little sad that we wouldn't be able to see her the whole time, but after a little shifting, Daisy stepped up on a bleacher and we could see her head in the crowd.
They sang four songs total. Daisy's favorite was the all-girl number, so that is what you get.
At the end, they all turned and smiled for the parents. Well...most of them smiled.
Look how big that choir is...
It was a really fun concert. I'm glad Daisy gets these opportunities to use and share her voice.
