Thankful Turkey 2020

Here I am staying nice and current. Yesterday we did our Thankful Turkey. This is a tradition that everyone looks forward to. We put our turkeys up from previous years and I always see the kids pass along and read their feathers and others.

We all take turns making the turkey and this year fell to Dad. Naturally he went to his computer and came up with this cute guy. Yes, his body may seems a bit small but that leaves lots of room for writing on feathers.

It is fun to sit down together and think about what we are grateful for. There are so many things. Some people are very detailed and others use more general terms. The good thing is that there is no wrong answer. Then I laminated him at work (no more using the other copy center that messed up the lamination the last three years. Grr.)

Here is a close up on a feather. It's mine since I'm not sure others want theirs on display.

Then Tyler named his turkey, which we have never done before. Herb is quite the appropriate name.

Also fun, the same evening, Daisy made a really fun treat for FHE. She looked it up and did a lot of work to get her turkeys looking  just right. How sweet are these?

Looks like it was an evening with a bunch of turkeys. And some cupcakes too.
