All Girl Nativity

I still have a lot of December posts to get on here. I'm staying current as well, but I'm impressed with the amount of things that transpired at the end of last year. December really can pack a wallop.

We don't have a family tradition around the nativity. Some families do one every year and the youngest child gets to be baby Jesus, etc. Well, we are already shy of the right gender for most of the characters, so it hasn't been a big deal for us.

But the girls decided to put together their own nativity and they performed for us one evening as a surprise. It was delightful and oh so cute. They did a good job.

Here is a still from the video so something shows up in the blog book.

Also, Tyler and I had a chance to teach primary one week in December and we talked a bit about the nativity. We had the children take turns adding characters they remembered on the board. I really like the HUGE shepherd, the minuscule baby Jesus and the dragonfly angel. It is fun to see what kids come up with.
