Puzzle Me This

We like to do a Christmas puzzle around Christmas time. (Go figure.) But I have noticed in the past that when a puzzle comes out, sometimes not everyone gets to help put it together. There might be a couple people who have more time, or motivation to get it done.

So this year I tried something new. We divided onto teams. And then we were each given a time in which to finish the puzzle. Hopefully that meant that everyone would have a chance to work on it. (All teams were chosen at random.)

Our first team was Daisy and Ivory. They got the puzzle done in 2 1/2 days. And it looked mighty fine. It was a very fun puzzle to do. I like puzzles with a lot of different patterns or items. That seems more fun than doing a big blue sky.

A week or so later, team 2 was up with Me, Robyn, and June. We are a tad competitive and we finished the puzzle in 3 hours. (To be fair, we also had more people.)

Our final team, Tyler and Pearl didn't get to the puzzle until after Christmas and they felt no pressure to do it in any set amount of time since they were the last team. So they enjoyed a relaxing few days of putting it together.

Pearl is actually one of our best puzzlers. She often has a puzzle in the works. She did 1000 piece one in January, working on it slowly until it was all finished. I think everyone put in a few pieces at least, but the bulk goes to Pearl. Good job!
