Wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, waaaaaiiiiiiitttt. WOO!! Day 2.

The second day dawned bright and early and we were back in the game. Our family was up and going but it took a little longer for everyone to join us. (Not surprising since everyone was exhausted.) So we went over to tomorrow land and went on Space Mountain first thing. All the girls loved it. Tim joined us a bit later to ride Autopia. We each paired up with a kid and let them drive. (Thanks Tim for letting Robyn drive.) I hear June and Robyn weren't too bad, but Ivory was a crazy driver. I'm glad she has a few more years before she really hits the road. Can you see us back there? Well, maybe you can see me, but I think Ivory gets swallowed up in the car.

The main game plan on Day 2 was to go see Rapunzel in the morning since the wait had been over 90 minutes the morning before. (See once again why I am overly thankful for Ariel's Grotto?) We got there a half hour early and the wait was still 80 minutes. So we went on the carousel instead.

In the meantime, our large numbers came in handy. I had gone to get fast passes for Indiana Jones, and my Dad had gone to stand in line to see Tinkerbell. (Her wait was only 40 minutes). So a few phone calls later, we all reconvened at Pixie Hollow and didn't have to wait long to see the fairies.

And truthfully, the fairies were probably better than Rapunzel, although there was much sadness that Silvermist wasn't on the scene. We got to see Fawn first.

When it was our turn to see Tinkerbell, I was surprised to see Vidia, the fast-flying fairy.

She was just like the character. She contradicted almost everything Tinkerbell said and she was very competitive. (You can ask the girls about the fast name game.) She even gives you a pouty face during the picture.

Although my girls liked the fairies, no one was happier than Grandpa. He loves Tinkerbell and you couldn't wipe the smile off his face. See, Disneyland isn't just for kids.

We headed over to Indiana Jones and this is where Grandma Cazier caught up with us. We thought she must be especially tired since it was getting close to noon, but instead she surprised us with a brand new double stroller. We had rented a Disney one that day, so the girls were in heaven, because everyone had a seat. Of course, they still bickered a little over the new stroller because it had cool visors. But everyone had a turn, and don't worry...I didn't let anyone sit on top. I had learned my lesson.

Indiana Jones was great, but it was one of the few rides that Ivory was not tall enough to ride.

For anyone who has been on the ride, you all sit in a large jeep that bumps and jolts along. Well, randomly Tim was sitting in front of the wheel, with Robyn sitting beside him. They had recently gone on Autopia together so Robyn was convinced that Tim was driving. I'm sure it didn't help that at the beginning when there are three doors, Miranda yelled, "Don't go that way!!" (As if Tim had a choice.) At the end, I asked everyone if they liked and ride and Robyn said, "I am not going on that again! Tim was a terrible driver. He was supposed to turn, but he didn't and we went the wrong way!" It took a lot of convincing but I think she finally settled that maybe Tim wasn't all to blame. But it was a pretty good joke the rest of the trip. Anytime a ride went an odd direction, someone would yell, "Tim, you driving??"

We were all over both parks that second day. We saw the Aladdin show. (The genie was really funny.) We went on the new Ariel ride. (I know every song by heart.) We went to the little show, 'It's Tough to Be a Bug' We all donned our bug eyes to be honorary bugs. Looks like we found a couple of love bugs.

And some pill bugs.

This was also the day we did Ariel's Grotto. We really packed it in on Day 2.

Later, even though we split up, I swear we kept running into the other half of our party. At the Monster Inc. ride, we saw my family getting on the ride through a glass window. We started yelling and waving until we got the same response back. My favorite part is the ride attendant looking back and trying to decide why those crazy people were screaming already.

The kids talked me into going on the Hollywood Tower of Terror. I tried to explain that it was the scariest ride in the park, but that just made them want to go more. We all screamed while Tyler laughed. Something must be wrong with that guy.

The kids did bumper cars while I tried to get fast passes for CA Screamin. (They were out.)

We shopped and played and eventually found ourselves back at Disneyland before the fireworks. We had one last chance to go on Space Mountain again, but this time we waited in the long line. Disneyland is great, but let's be realistic...you better like the people you go with because you will be standing in line with them. A. LOT. Most people find some way to pass the time. We played the hand slap game often; the one where player one places his hands underneath another player two's hands and tries to flip them over and slap player two's hands before he can remove them. We also spent at least half the time telling the kids to get off the railings and stop touching the ropes. It is hard for kids to stay down. Here is Ivory doing a little dance at a ride in the afternoon, right before we told her to get down.

We finished the evening with fireworks.

It is worth it to stand in the circle in front of the castle because they play great music and you can see Tinkerbell in the sky. Sadly, two of the kids fell asleep, but I still enjoyed them. (The fireworks, not the kids. Well, I guess I always enjoy quiet kids.) We sent June home on the shuttle with Grandma and we walked the other two home. Here are our sleeping beauties, in one pretty fancy Nancy stroller.

Do you think you can make it through day 3? We barely did. Stay tuned...

What a great re-telling of a wonderful day. My favorite part is the startled look on the ride attendant's face when we waved back to you. You certainly got a lot of pictures with the fairies! Standing next to Tink was probably Dad's favorite part of the whole trip.
